Anyone got any word on these yet? I'm interested in the micro-ATA (female small older connector) one. Will they be around 1000 USD or more at release time?

There are no 64GB 1.8" SSDs available in retail at this time. We are talking to several manufacturers. To make 64GB in 1.8" requires very high-density NAND flash chips that are in super-short supply. We cannot speculate on pricing but as soon as we get any more 1.8" SSDs besides the micro-ATA by Samsung, and the ZIF by Sandisk, we will post them at http://www.dvnation.com/nand-flash-ssd.html . We know that MTRON is working on 1.8" but it is taking a very long time to develop. We are in talks with two other overseas manufacturer's but again, they are very vague on 1.8". Thanks so much for writing in our forum!
