I just bought three 16GB drives (used) and two of them seem to be defective. I have a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 Rev2.0 f12b, and an Areca ARC-1220 PCIe HW RAID controller. When connected to the ICH9r or Gigabyte SATA ports, the drives report being only 15MB in the BIOS and in Vista. When connected to the Areca controller, it reports them as having "failed". The third drive works great!

I don't think evidance can get any more concrete than that, but maybe I'm missing something. Any ideas?

So, my main question is about warranties, how do I do an RMA? Anybody here can help me? Thanks!

Fortunately WE at DV Nation have not experienced a single SSD failure, but it CAN happen. SSDs are electronics, after all. Our return rate though it just a FRACTION of what it would be with a mechanical hard drive. (just 1 - 2%).

For those people who buy directly form DV Nation, we support the original purchaser for the full warranty period by exchanging a defective drive within its warranty period (usually 3 - 5 years depending on make and model)

Hi there,

I have bought 2xMtron SSD Pro 7000 sata 32gb and now, one of them shows 15mb in the bios.
I tried to change sata port and computer, but still gives me same problem.

What can I do? should i try to upgrade the firmware?

thanks.

I have also experienced a high failure rate on the MOBI Mtron 16gb drives. Out of 12 drives purchased, 5 have completely failed within the first couple weeks. Two of them will not even allow the computer to boot when they are plugged in as a primary or secondary drive. From what we have seen so far, these are not very reliable.
