Looking at some of the benchmarks online, I see affordable SSDs with moderate performance.
I am asking what was DVNATIONs review on them again?
I have forgotten and I would like to know so I can decide whether to buy OCZ now or what and purchase Memoright or Mtron?!

Also, I have heard rumors that MTRON is developing a newer SSD SLC for 2009. If rumors are true should I wait till the new arrivals come out.?

Nevermind I finally found the stats I needed to choose...I just wanted ask if anyone has tested the GSKILL Solid State Drives from NewEgg.com or are those drives also a samsung ripoff or the like?

I would imagine that GSkill is just someone else's SSD, rebranded. I talked to the Ridata SSD rep two days ago at the Flash Memory conference. He told me that the Gen1 OCZ is actually just a Samsung SSD, and the Gen2 is actually thier Ridata / Ritek brand rebadged. We just posted the new, cheap, Ridata MLC SSDs here - http://www.dvnation.com/spns.html#Ridata

They say the performance is 148MB/s read, 93MB/s write, though we have not tested them.
Around the end of the month, we will have new Silicon Power SSDs with the same or better performance.
